Koya Ayonrinde is a Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital. His UWA PhD thesis was about fatty liver. He is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and European Association for the Study of the Liver. He runs several MASH and cirrhosis clinical trials at FSH and was involved in GESA and ADS MAFLD guidelines.

Associate Professor Stephen Bacchi, MBBS, PhD Associate Professor Stephen Bacchi is a Neurology Registrar with interests in clinical research and teaching. Stephen’s PhD focuses on clinical applications of machine learning in stroke and general medicine.

Following initial ED training, Carsten subsequently completed his FRACP paediatric fellowship in 2024 following multiple general paediatric, adolescent and subspecialty training positions at PCH and other rural and regional sites. He is currently a general paediatrician in Bunbury working both in private practice and through WACHS at Bunbury Hospital and CDS, with a keen interest in adolescent and developmental paediatrics.

Xavier is a current BPT trainee through the WACHS Regional Training Network, currently working as a registrar in Bunbury Hospital. Xavier has strong ties to the South West region and keen interest in regional and rural medicine. Xavier has an interest Medical Education and is looking forward to putting forward a structured opinion on "new" training methods.

Dr Clare Fellingham

Dr Clare Fellingham is a consultant anaesthetist with a specialist interest in obstetrics. Fascinated from an early age by birth and death, Clare also holds a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine, is chair of the RPBG Clinical Ethics Committee, is the EMHS Clinical Lead for Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) and is studying for a Master of Bioethics through Monash.

Dr Andrey Lopukhov is currently undertaking Basic Physician Training (BPT) through the WA Rural Physician Training Pathway, working as a medical registrar at Bunbury Hospital. He has a strong professional interest in Neurology. After completing two years of BPT with WA Country Health Service (WACHS), he is set to transfer his training to Royal Perth Hospital, where he will sit the RACP written and clinical examinations to complete his BPT. Dr Lopukhov lives in Bunbury with his family. He obtained his medical degree in Russia and moved to Australia in 2013.

Dr Krista Makin is a Rheumatologist, is currently Head of Department Rheumatology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where she is involved in clinical work and teaching. She consults privately at St John of God Murdoch Hospital and provides a regular rural service to Dunsborough in the south of Western Australia. She has special interests in adolescent transition and heritable connective tissue diseases.

Professor Jennifer Martin

Professor Martin is President of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She is a citizen of both Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and a practising physician, educator and academic healthcare leader. She gained Fellowship in 2001 and continues to train Basic Trainees and Advanced Trainees in internal medicine and clinical pharmacology. She has been the Southside Medical Dean at University of Queensland and is the current Chair of Clinical Pharmacology in Newcastle. Her more recent leadership roles include the NSW State Secretary for Rhodes Scholars Australia where she has broadened the selection and representation of NSW Rhodes scholars, elected Councillor of the NSW Divisional Council and Corporate Governance Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and elected staff representative of the University of Newcastle Council.

His interests lie in rehabilitation and palliative care, complemented by active engagement in research and clinical audit. Eduard is committed to strengthening rural healthcare through education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Morag did her law degree at UWA She first encountered medico legal work when she lived in the UK and when she returned to WA she continued to speciliase in this area of law. Morag has worked with avant law for 18 years and has represented doctors in the courts, before the Coroner and before the Medical Board of Australia.
