Professor Catriona Bradshaw [MMBS(Hons), FAChSHM, PhD, FAHMS] is an NHMRC Leadership Fellow, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science and Head of Research Translation and Mentorship at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, School of Translational Medicine, Monash University and Alfred Hospital. Her programme focuses on translational research to improve treatment and control of STIs, including the development and implementation of resistance and point of care diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship in STIs, and strategies to optimise reproductive health. Catriona has a strong track record of translating findings into policy and practice with >380 publications, is a member of national and international STI guideline committees , a board member of the International Society for STD Research, a technical advisor for WHO, a past recipient of the L'Oréal-UNESCO Women in Science Award (2009) and of the Eureka Prize for Infectious Diseases (2022)

Dr Massimo Giola obtained his medical degree in 1991 at the University of Pavia, Italy, and specialised in Infectious Diseases in 1996. He studied antiretroviral drugs’ pharmacokinetics during a PhD programme in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology from 2005 to 2008 at the University of Varese, Italy. In 2009, he moved to New Zealand and worked as a general/ID physician in Invercargill until November 2010, then in Tauranga. In 2012, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and completed further specialty training in Sexual Health Medicine during 2013-2015, obtaining the Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine. He has completed a Master in Psychosexology and is now a certified Sexologist. He currently works in public 3 days a week in Tauranga and 1 day a week in Rotorua, as HIV Physician and Clinical Lead of the Sexual Health Services. He works Fridays in private (details in healthpoint.co.nz). He is currently the President of the Australasian Sexual Health Medicine Committee of the RACP.

Professor Guy (BAppSc, MAppEpid, PhD) is a NHMRC Fellow (Investigator Grant, L2) and is Head of the Surveillance Evaluation and Research Program, at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. Prof Guy also serves as a Member of the Institute’s Executive Committee and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee. Prof Guy has expertise in epidemiology, implementation research, health services and translational research. Prof Guy's public health research focuses on reducing the impact of infectious diseases (HIV, sexually transmissible infections, COVID-19 and other respiratory infections) in vulnerable populations, including evaluating the effectiveness, acceptability, and cost-effectiveness of novel strategies, including point-of-care testing.

Dr Brendan Nolan is an endocrinologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Clinical Lead of True Colours Specialist Trans and Gender Diverse Health Service, and Research Fellow in the Trans Health Research Group, the University of Melbourne. Brendan’s PhD evaluated the safety and efficacy of gender affirming hormone therapy for transgender and gender-diverse individuals. He continues postdoctoral research evaluating optimal gender affirming hormone therapy with funding from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians-Endocrine Society of Australia Research Establishment Fellowship and a NHMRC Investigator Grant. Brendan was the recipient of the Bryan Hudson Clinical Endocrinology Award at the 2022 Endocrine Society of Australia Annual Scientific Meeting and was a finalist for the 2024 Victorian Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research.

Dr Nneka Nwokolo is an Honorary Consultant Physician in HIV and Sexual Health at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. Her interests include the sexual and reproductive health of women living and ageing with HIV, particularly in raising awareness of the impact of menopause on HIV, as well as increasing the participation of women living with HIV in clinical trials. She is a passionate advocate of combination HIV prevention, particularly for women, and is engaged in efforts to raise awareness of HIV in the general population and to reduce the stigma associated with HIV.

Dr Frances Robbins is currently an Advanced Trainee in Sexual Health Medicine at Waikato Hospital. She has been a GP for many years with a special interest in youth health. She is a Clinical Equity Lead at Health New Zealand Waikato. She has held various leadership and governance roles within the health sector.
