Hello, Kia ora
Welcome to the registration site for the Research Skills Workshop and NSW/ACT Trainee Research Awards, to be held on Wednesday, 11 November 2026.
The Research Skills Workshop will take place from 5.15pm to 6.40pm, followed by the Trainee Research Awards from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, with canapés and refreshments available through the evening.
The Research Skills Workshop will provide insights for trainees interested in developing skills in research. Three presentations will be held for trainees at different stages:

- How to get started - Dr Craig Coorey
- How to stay on track - Professor Martin Veysey
The Trainee Research Awards celebrate the NSW/ACT Trainees who successfully made it through the research abstract judging process as finalists.
Six trainees will present their research to the audience and to the judges for a final round of assessment. The finalists will be awarded the opportunity to present at the Trainee Research Award Symposium in Sydney in 2027.
The regional top honour trainees will be invited to have their abstracts published in a RACP supplement of the Internal Medicine Journal, or the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health.
The TRAs will be judged by Dr Graeme Rich, Dr Hasantha Gunasekera, Dr Chanukya Colonne, and Chaired by Professor Martin Veysey.
Please note that photographs will be taken throughout the evening. If you do not wish to be photographed, please contact RACPNSW@racp.edu.au
