Kia ora,
Welcome to the registration site for the Māori Trainee Wānanga being held on Thursday, 14 August and Friday, 15 August 2025 in Wellington.
Join us for a day dedicated to fostering whakawhanaungatanga within the Māori caucus and nurturing tuakana teina relationships among trainees and Fellows.
Our program is designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to excel on your journey in medicine and encompasses a focus on:
• Embracing connections: Engage in meaningful discussions and activities that cultivate whakawhanaungatanga within our community of Māori trainees.
• Strengthening relationships: Explore the concept of tuakana teina relationships, where seasoned mentors (tuakana) guide and support their junior counterparts (teina) through the challenges and triumphs of training.
• Thriving in training: Gain valuable insights and practical strategies for navigating the demands of your chosen training pathway.
The day is supported by RDA/STONZ, so for those trainees registered to attend who are working at Te Whatu Ora associated reasonable costs can be submitted for reimbursement.
Please get in touch with the team at hauoramaori@racp.org.nz if you have any queries.
Ngā mihi
